A household of Italian immigrants are bringing the tastes of their homeland to city Detroit. Cucina Laboratory Torino by Cuciniamo Italiano is set to open at the end of the month in Troy.

Martina Rabajoli, the daughter of the owner and the dining establishment’s PR supervisor, says that her family chose to open the restaurant, Cucina Lab Torino, as a home for the family’s catering business, Cuciniamo Italiano.

The household relocated to Michigan from Torino, Italy, in winter season 2014.

“After settling and getting accustomed to a brand-new way of living and the American culture my mom decided to start a catering and shipment organization of our true authentic Italian food,” Rabajoli states. “The catering company is called Cuciniamo Italiano and has grown considerably for many years driving my family to open a ‘house’ for Cuciniamo Italiano. That is where Cucina Laboratory Torino came to life– a comfortable, unique, genuine Italian area in Michigan.”

Aside from authentic Italian dishes, the dining establishment was likewise designed by an Italian designer, and “embodies the real style and heat of Italy,” Rabajoli states.

Due to the pandemic, the dining establishment will be open for reservation only for now. It also offers carryout, catering, cooking classes, wine tasting, and private occasions.

“The goal of Cucina Laboratory and my family is to permit guests to take a trip to Italy without having to get on an airplane and fly overseas,” Rabajoli says.

Rabajoli states the food used by Cucina Laboratory “is rooted in the simpleness of Italian cooking in addition to organic, GMO-free, and local fruit and vegetables provided by the state of Michigan.”

The dining establishment is located at 3960 Crooks Rd., Troy; 248-525-9098; cucina-lab. com.
